How to Get There

The beach camp is held on a campsite on a strip of land between the Lake of Varano and the sea in the Gargano national park in Puglia, South Italy.

Where to fly to?

The closest airports are Bari, Rome and Napoli.

We recommend to find cheap connections or for very cheap prices if you don’t mind long stopovers..

Catch a train

The best way to reach the camping is to catch a train (see TrenItalia’s schedules) to Foggia or San Severo and then you catch another train with another company (Gargano Railways) to Ischitella Scalo.

From Ischitella Scalo you catch a bus in the direction of Bufalara but you get down at the stop for Camping Uria – that’s where we’ll be!

If you somehow end up at Foce Varano that’s also okay as then you just have a 3km walk to the camping.

By bus

It’s also possible to catch a bus to Ischitella Scalo from various destinations in Italy – here you can check  a summary of routes.

Mmm, this is Italy. It’s really not the easiest hitchhiking destination.

But you can get by quite nicely with BlaBlaCar where you pay for a place in someone’s car.
